Mr. Green is a small but mighty roo. Around the barn many know him as Chef because of the houndstooth patterning on his luxurious tail feathers. And he is in charge, so Chef suits him.

Mr. Green stands just over 10 inches tall from the top of his glorious comb. He is made of a beautiful soft green mohair for his body, glass eyes, and a variety of fabrics for everything else. His legs are made of wire and wrapped with colored tape. He is filled with wool stuffing.

I often imagined that if I had a roo, I would want one small in stature so he doesn’t become too much of a handful around the coop. And that is how I made Mr. Green. He is about the same size as the hens I make, so everyone feels nice and comfy together.

Mr. Green is lovingly handmade.
